The Challenge
The client approached us with just an idea - to build a fantasy prediction game for the Eurovision Song Contest — one of Europe’s most watched and celebrated events. With no existing product or structure in place, the client needed help transforming their concept into a user-friendly, engaging platform that could capture the attention of Eurovision super-fans.
The challenge was to create an experience that was simple enough for casual users, yet exciting and competitive for dedicated fans. With limited clarity on how to execute or implement the idea, our task was to design and develop the game from the ground up — ensuring it was intuitive, visually appealing, and ready to go live in time for the high-energy Eurovision season.
The Solution
To efficiently bring the Fantasy ESC platform to life, we chose WordPress as the CMS. Its built-in admin panel allowed us to accelerate development, avoiding the need to build backend features from scratch—as would have been required with Laravel. This saved valuable time while ensuring the platform remained robust and flexible.
We custom-designed the entire site—from UI to functionality—to match the client's vision of a simple, engaging fantasy game. Users can easily register, create their fantasy teams, and track scores in real-time through an intuitive interface. The design reflects the high energy and excitement of Eurovision, while being fully responsive across devices.
Key features like a custom points system, live leaderboards, and analytics integration were added to enhance engagement and platform performance. Throughout development, we worked closely with the client to ensure the final product was not only user-friendly but also aligned perfectly with their idea.
