Spanish Broadcasting System is a prominent and diverse broadcasting company established in 1983 and went public in 1999, with its headquarters located in Miami, FL. Recently, the company expanded its operations by launching a new division dedicated to podcast production. In this role, Spanish Broadcasting System not only produces podcasts but also acts as a marketer, focusing on increasing the audience, enhancing brand awareness, and broadening the reach of content creators.
Megaphone provides data in a text format that must be uploaded to an S3 bucket for further use. This data can be extensive, often exceeding the limits imposed by Zoho. Specifically, Zoho can only process files up to a few megabytes in size. This restriction posed a significant challenge, as it meant that large files, which could contain critical information, could not be directly ingested or processed by Zoho’s systems.
To address this issue, we needed to develop a solution that would allow us to handle and integrate these large files effectively. The core of the challenge was to devise a method for breaking down these sizable text files into smaller, manageable chunks that would fall within Zoho's file size limitations. This required careful planning and execution to ensure that the segmented data remained accurate and intact throughout the process.
Our approach involved implementing an S3 Lambda function and creating a Python script specifically designed to split large files into smaller segments. This solution enabled Zoho to read and process the data in compliance with its file size restrictions. By addressing this challenge, we were able to ensure that all relevant data from Megaphone could be seamlessly integrated into Zoho, thereby facilitating efficient data management and processing.
To address the issue of unreadable files, we implemented an S3 Lambda function and crafted a Python script to segment large files into smaller, manageable chunks. This solution allowed Zoho to access and read files that were previously inaccessible. Furthermore, we integrated real-time data from Megaphone into Zoho by understanding Mega Phone's data structure and replicating it within Zoho. We utilised webhooks to ensure smooth and efficient data transfer.
Our solution involved deploying Zoho CRM and Zoho Books for comprehensive management of impression data and invoicing. Zoho CRM was used to track impression data, while Zoho Books handled invoice creation based on this data. We set up APIs to fetch impression data from S3, which was then processed by Zoho Books for accurate invoice management. This approach streamlined the integration process, enhanced data accuracy, and ensured that invoicing was directly linked to the impression data.
Before our solution, managing real-time data was a labor-intensive process requiring extensive manual effort. Our implementation automated this entire workflow, significantly reducing the need for human intervention. By leveraging Zoho Books and Zoho CRM, we transformed the data management process, enhancing both accuracy and efficiency. The automation streamlined operations across multiple departments within the client's organisation, leading to faster data processing, improved reliability, and a notable reduction in administrative workload. This integration not only optimised data handling but also contributed to smoother, more efficient business operations overall.
