Dotsquares was recently invited to join the Panel for the launch event of the United Kingdom Trade & Investment (UKTI) at the Amex Stadium, Brighton. The event was designed to highlight how the UKTI can help local companies make an impact to their revenues through successful exporting. After joining the UKTI Trade Mission to Brazil last year we made some great contacts and have been working with a client in the international coffee trading industry for some time. Bankim Chandra (MD) and Paul Thomas (PM) from Dotsquares were joined on the Panel for the Event by Declan Curry (Journalist & former Business Correspondent for BBC), Richard Smith (UKTI), Toni Saraiva (Enterprise Europe Network), Julie Smith (Barclays) and Chris Heyes (International Festival for Business). Our presentation to 200 local business leaders highlighted how UKTI can help and what we did ourselves to secure the work. We talked about the tactics to use on the visits abroad and how best to tailor internal processes to ensure that those people are suitably impressed and have a desire to work with us. We also sat on the Panel and fielded questions from the floor, one of which was specifically about training and educational websites. This was a great event to showcase what Dotsquares can bring to web and mobile app development both here in the UK and abroad. With the help of UKTI we have successfully visited the United States, Dubai and Brazil, working with several new clients and continually making contacts in the pursuit of expanding into a major supplier in each country. As our approach and strategies were highly praised by Lewis Scott (Managing Director, UKTI South East) we can be sure that we are travelling the best path to grow further and let more clients enjoy the Dotsquares experience!
