Dotsquares takes Manhattan!!

As part of an initiative organised by global bank Santander, Dotsquares recently joined a week long Trade Mission to New York City to connect with clients and suppliers alike and improve our presence in one of the technology world’s most important markets.

The week took in briefings with important entrepreneurs and business leaders, from both the private and public sectors to get a balanced view of the opportunities available.

Dotsquares were invited to share how their unique approach had overcome many of the perceived challenges often associated with offshore development. Explaining how their development models, linked to an agile project management methodology had earned them an excellent track record.

One of the key areas addressed was the need for good communication skills in conjunction with extensive experience in technologies, whether PHP/MySQL or Microsoft’s .NET framework and MSSQL. These attributes have also proved a great benefit with Dotsquares expansion into the development of mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.

We also shared with them the unique approach that Dotsquares takes to overcome the perceived challenges with offshore work, including our Models, and demonstrated our excellent track record

The Consul General Danny Lopez hosted a reception at the UK Embassy with nearly 100 guests, enlightening all as to the innovation and creativity coming out of the UK and the fantastic potential for businesses to grow internationally. With the Dotsquares approach to development we’re ideally placed to benefit from this and help more USA clients meet (and exceed) their IT requirements.

Dotsquares managing Director, Bankim Chandra, met with as many existing New York based clients as he could and further meetings were held with a selected shortlist of US companies to forge important new relationships that will take the company forward.
