Dotsquares had a big involvement in the Brighton and Hove Young Enterprise Company Finals 2014. Managing Director, Bankim Chandra has spent the last 9 months mentoring a team of Students from Brighton College as they set up their company and began to trade. Bankim said, “It has been an amazing experience to watch the team develop and grow. This is my 4th year of working with Young Enterprise and I really enjoy working with young people”. There were many categories of awards and Dotsquares sponsored the prize for Best Website; Kerry Jackman judged that the winners were Mint, who produced a very professional website and were the only company to use ecommerce. There was a main judging panel of 5, made up of experienced local business people which included Dotsquares Project Manager, Rod Cole, “all the finalists did very well and choosing an overall winner was very difficult”. He added, “the Young Enterprise scheme is now in its 50th year and is helping produce talented young businessmen and women”. While not overall winners, the company that Bankim mentored came first in 3 categories and go forward to the Sussex Finals on May 7th.
